Do you tease your kitties and lay guilt trip phrases on them? I do.
Sometimes I'll say, "Chasey? Do you love me?" She say "rrrrr" or "meow" and I'll say, "No? I know you don't."
If she doesn't answer I say the same thing. I'm so mean aren't I?
What do you say?

KC always gets talkative when he's hungry.

"What do you want KC?"
"Yow!"
"What's that?"
"REOWW!!"
"You want some food?"
"YOW YOW YOW!!"
And then if you try to take it away from him he'll growl and eat at the same time.

My little pig!!

Yup, we do the "are you hungry?" thing while holding her food... And ask her until she responds with a "rowrrr!"

Since we got Lizbeth, Mama and Megan as strays living under our deck. When they are laying around hogging up the sofa cushions looking spoiled and adorable. I always ask if they wanna go live under the deck again (especially when it's snowing and 18 below or 96 and humid like it was today)We open up the back door and say "C'mon! Get moving! Let's go! " They rarely even open their eyes.

I do that with all mine. I learned not to pick on the ones outside when they're hungry. Then all group attack(playful) for lunch. It's not nearly as fun when they pick back.

LOL we do that too...
Patches will wake me up by 8 AM if the food bowls haven't been filled by then. If I ignore her and she wakes up B I'll hear him in the background:
B: "Does she need to feed you?"
Patches: "Me-u"
B: "Do you want me to smack her?"
Patches: "M-roew!"
B: "OK" *smacks my butt to wake me up*
Me: "OW!"
B: "Your supervisor told me that you need to get the bowls filled with food".

*keep in mind the smacking is all in good tease*

My husband and I do the Old Yeller approach with 8-Bit. We will both get on the floor and make him choose. It's sad really, but it sure is funny.

I can't bear to tease my babies....I'd rather just cuddle up to them and enjoy their sweet kitty loving.....(though Pandora is much more adoring than Pearl is). Pearl likes her space.

These replies are pretty funny!
Now I'll have some new material for Chasey. I also like to ask Chasey if she wants food or a snack when I'm holding it. I just love it when she meows back to me.

We show Miss Moofi 2 tins of food and ask her which flavour she wants
we show her one, she sniffs, then we offer the next, will it be fish or will it be chicken Miss Moofi

I was going to say you lot are horrible, until i saw the post about asking if their hungry and waiting for a reply

I do this with my two as well. I'll hold their wet food bowls in my hands and say " Tell mummy you want some dinner then! ". I'm guaranteed a reply so they get it no problem

Tripod responds when I ask if he wants his dinner. He says "yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaow" Then I ask when he wants it and he says "NEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!"

I ask Oliver how he gets his whites so white, but he just looks at me and blinks. Thats good enough for me. I blink back.
