If you read back through this thread, you will see that Sharky advised *against* using this the dog frontline plus on a cat. Regardless of what her reasoning is, the facts are there ...the cat product is stronger than the dog product.

Thank you for your welcome. I did look at the link and like I said, I wouldn't go by what they write there.

I am listening and I do know what "I'm" talking about. I'm in the vet. medical field. are you?

Please go read a box in hand. The dog product is stronger.

That is true./... but it is not the fact it is stronger but the fact it is weaker and cats metaboze faster ... I do work in animal care
... But the metabolism came from my vet when I asked about dog for my cats ....

Just yesturday I sat down and compared every Frontline plus label

11.8% for the cats

8.8% for the dogs

I'm sorry but you ARE telling people on here to use medicine that is not intended for cats. Please stop trying to tell people things that aren't true. They come here for help, not to kill their cats.

If you want to be on a forum to help people, then please get all your facts straight.

People please check with your vets first before listening to watch is always written on these forums, as if you don't you just may kill your cats

True, that is not it's intended use. Sharky can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe her vet advised AGAINST using it, because it could be ineffective due to the weaker concentration.

Yeah I have advised NOT using ANY DOG product on a cat but I am not going to find and quote myself

I asked my vet why I couldnt use the dog ( thinking the dog would be stronger and she explained and showed me that the cat was stronger by 3% than the dog ) .... Rescues are the ones on here that use it off label and I know they work closely with there vets but I DONT ADVISE OFF label USE ...

Are you a veterinarian?

"Not intended for cats" is not the same as "Fatal to cats". We at TCS do not recommend using any products that have not been prescribed by our vets and Sharky most certainly does not recommend that either. Please read the posts carefully to ensure you don't misunderstand them.

There are some folks here who have tremendous experience in TNR and who are able to buy products in bulk and administer them correctly to both dogs and cats - BUT they have years of knowledge and experience as well as lots of assistance and advice from their vets in how to do this.

Again, when reading posts please be careful that you are reading them thoroughly.
