Today is Sunday. My 5 month old kitten, Chance, threw up twice on Friday. Since then he is very lethargic. He seems slightly improved since Friday. On Friday evening is eyes were somewhat glazed. He does get up once in a while to scratch his post, drink water, and use the litter box. He won't eat. He will approach his food at feeding time, look at it, and get back on the chair. His eyes have cleared up and he does seem a little better. I will take him to the vet tomorrow but does anyone have any suggestions? He was at the vet about 3 weeks ago for rabies shot and he got a distemper shot one week ago. My other 5 month old kitten is completely ignoring him at this point.

Thanks
Nancy

Have you checked him for dehydration? You can either check the gums, or gently pinch a bit of skin on their neck to see how quickly it bounces back - if it takes time, they are dehydrated and a vet needs to be contacted immediately. You also need to be getting food into him, there are lots of health risks with them not eating, and at only 5 months old, it is really important. I would contact an emergency vet asap - check for dehydration first, as that could alter what they tell you to do.

How did everything go?

What kind of food are you feeding him?

I would recommend soft canned cat food warmed up in the microwave for a few minutes, but not too hot.
