I adopted Bella from a shelter last week, she is now 10 wks old"supposedly"

The vet gave me a worming pill, as well as other antibiotics for her cold...

TOday I saw a little centimeter of something on her rear, all dried up..
So I took a tissue and wiped, and a worm LOOKING thing came out. It was 2inches long, plus the little dried up part at the end.

MY question is, when you worm, where do the worms go??
Does this mean she needs another treatment, or are they just coming out??
It wasnt moving at all??YUK

It is completely normal for a cat to pass worms in their stool after having been wormed.

up or out
my guys tend to just pass the worms in poop but one of my cats had tapeworm real bad and he puked them things out with the worm pill. I give my cats two doses 10 days apart but ask vet if this pill needs to be repeated. if you continue to see worms make sure that the pill treats tapeworms in addition as some(mostly the over the counter stuff from petstores-with the exception of the tradewinds tapewormer) only treat round/hook. RJ....whos seen more worms then I'd like to admit
