Ditto on be sure and get the powdered kind! Thinking we were only keeping the kitten for a few days until we found a placement for him we were comfortable with, I bought a few of the cans. When our plans changed and we decided to care for him until he was weaned I tried to make the changeover to powdered and it did not go well. After 24 hours on it he was frantic when he ate, never seemed to get filled up, and overall didn't seem to feel good. I know technically the nutritional stuff is the same but apparently my kitten didn't think so. I tried several times and never did get him over to powdered and it nearly broke the bank. Highway robbery...!

aw..........Kissy loved it. When she was found by my daughter, it was during the night and she went to walmart and got a small can of liquid hartz stuff. The kitten drank this for two day, meowed constantly and was uncomfortable. When I went to the vet the following Monday and got some KMR, the little kitten was so sweet. She had NO trouble changing milks. You know how when baby kittens nurse, their little ear move back and forth. Well, that was Kissy on KMR. As soon as she finished her amt of milk, her head would just fall over and she would be sound asleep. She thrived on it. She never nursed her mama. The vet did not think she would it at first. But she is a very large kitty girl now...

Still no word from her, and I still can't get ahold of her. Mom goes into work at noon, so if the other woman works today I'm sure she'll get an earfull from mom and hopefully I'll find out later this afternoon whats going on. Keep praying for these babies!

I use to have a 3 day old kitten. That is a good thing you have a dog creat.
you need lots of blankets, hot water bottles to keep them warm,Feed them
kitten formula. feed them every two hours. Wibe their butts. Put some
stuff animals in there. I will take them to the vet first. And that is all.

Good luck!!

I can't wait to hear the update on this. I will be waiting...

This is just horrible....... The person that did this initially needs to have the same thing done to them. And that woman is totally irresponsible for not calling. Especially since she knew you were waiting.

I'll check in on this thread later.

Sorry it took so long to update, I had to wait for mom to find something out first.

The kittens are still with her husband right now. I still don't know why she didn't call me last night to let me know she wasn't bringing them yet. The runt of the litter didn't make it but the other two are doing great so far. Mom is going to drop them off tonight when she gets off work at nine. I'm so glad to hear that they WERE taking care of them. I hate to hear that the little one didn't make it though. I wonder if it was their fault. Anyway, I'll get them tonight and will be keeping them through the holiday at least. I still don't think I can foster them until they are old enough for homes. We have a big job coming up next month that may require us to travel anyway. If I can't find someone with experience willing to take them, I will keep them as long as it takes. Thank you all for your good vibes and prayers. I can't wait to see the babies and know that they are in good hands. I'll try to post pics as soon as I can.

Quick Update--

The babies made it here safe and sound. Two females, both calico, one a regular calico, the other mostly black. Beautiful babies! They are older than I was told they were, I'm guessing about 2 weeks old because their eyes are open. The black one is eating great, but the smaller one dosen't want to suckle. I'm feeding her by syringe, she won't take the bottle, but she's not taking as much as she needs. They are sleeping now, I'm hoping they will eat better during thier next feeding. Keep praying. These sweet little babies need all the TLC they can get!

So someone somewhere had these kitten for two weeks or so and then decided to put them in a plastic bag.. That just sickens me. I am so sorry the little baby runt didn't make it. He was just not strong enought to go through it all. It's a wonder they did not suffocate in that bag. That was a double whammy. To survive the bag meant certain death by drowning.

Poor little guy but you do have two beautiful babies and I can't wait to see the pics. The one little baby is just probaby weak. No telling how long they were in the bag. Food, love will perk him up. Hopefully. And they are probaby so tired from crying for their mama.

Bless you for caring for them.

Bless your heart! Those poor babies are probally so scared they dont know whats going on. I hope the other 2 make it it is sad when an animal has to die because someone dont want them and they throw them in a bag and into water to drown. I hope everything goes well with the babies and hope to see pics soon. God bless you and your new little babies.

That is horrible!!!!! I thought it was bad when Tweek had such horrible luck and I brought Jonah in 8 days ago. Some people are just heartless. I am sure they could have taken the babies to a shelter. If you were in Virginia I would take them. I am bottle raising my kitten, and I am new at this too. We could swap stories.

I've got an update!!

The babies weren't eating so well last night and today, and I was getting worried that I wasn't going to be able to get enough down them for them to thrive. My mom recently took in a mama cat and two kittens that are about a week or so older than these babies, and the mama cat took my kittens right in with hers!!

The babies are doing great and the mama is treating them like her own! They seem so happy to have a mommy again!

Thanks so much for all the prayers!! Never underestimate TCS magic!
