Pregnant cats and shots?

well Kitty is supposed to be getting her shots within the next week or to (so are the babies) and i was wondering, if she is pg, can she get shots?

Your vet will have the most definitive answer, but if I recall, all vaccines are a bad idea during pregnancy. Killed vaccines are okay during nursing, but even that is controversial.

Just tell your vet she might be pregnant and he will know what the best thing to do is.

I would not have a pregnant cat get vaccinations. Take the kittens in, but let the queen wait a few more weeks until you are sure she isn't preggers. We have vets who do vaccinations while the cat is nursing, but not while preggers.

ok. thanks. that actually puts a little stress off of me and my mom. one less shot to pay for (well for now anyways) thanks guys!!
