i posted in the health and nutrition form that i was just petting Kitty's tummy and i felt some kind of fluttering... i was having my suspicions that she may have gotten out and she may be pregnant again but she didnt really start to grow all that much. she gained a little weight though. could this be a baby or does gas kinda flutter around too? if she is pg then there is only one in there. it is really light fluttering.

since you dont really start seeing movement until about 2 weeks until the babies are born i went and looked at my calander (i wrote down when she got out and her possible due dates) and sure enough... one pf her possible due dates is on the 14th of July.... do you think its gas or a baby? God please let it be gas.

Jessie...best to have her checked over by a vet. If she did get out..there is a good chance that she is pregnant again, but that has to be confirmed by a vet. The most critical thing right now is to ensure she doesn't get out again.

i feel so horrible. first i thought she was then i thought she wasnt... all of the dates line up. (if she is) she got pg when she ran away for like 3 days back in May. i dont have any money whatsoever for the vet. she hasnt gotten outside since the begining of June so i'm doing good with keeping her in but sometimes she will just be outside when i go outside and i didnt even know how she got out. ughh. i feel horrible!
god i really hope it was just gas.

She is most likely pregnant... and I know how hard it can be to keep a determined cat indoors... I had my girl separated from the outdoors by 3 doors! The basement door, the front door, and the porch door, and she keeps getting out ALL the time. Drives me nuts. I had meant ot get her fixed ages ago, but she got pregnant, had and raised her kittens and then got pregnant again. I should have just had her fixed while pregnant but I couldn't bring myself to do it. This time, she is getting fixed as soon as the kittens are weaned, regardless.
I understand the guilt too, I mean, I've been doing rescue for years! The reason my own cat didn't get spayed was because I paid for 5 other rescue cats to be spayed and neutered and ran out of money. I figured I would be able to prevent her from getting pregnant (experienced person that I am!
) and took as many measures as I could think of.
Hard lesson learned, the ONLY preventative for a really stubborn, determined, hormonal cat is spaying.

So, don't beat yourself up, keep her healthy, spay her afterwards and make sure the kittens are done too. It's the only way for the cycle of our own contribution to overpopulation to stop.

yeah we were going to have her and my little boy kitten spayed first in a few weeks (cant afford it until then even at a low cost clinic
) and my sister was going to take care of the little girl when she got her. shots are going to be done either this week or next. my mom knows a retired vet who does everything (but he wont do surgeries) for really cheap so we were going to get shots from there for like $5. we also have my dog who posibly has earmites and some skin infection who is going to the vet in about a week. it is so overwelming! it seems like animals are always getting sick when you have NO money...

i dont know if you guys remember me writing about her having morning sickness but we were concerned that it was too early.. well in fact it lines up with the babies moving...

i'm sure if she is pg we can take care of her and the kitten. we should be getting some money soon. i'm almost positive it is only one kitten in there. thanks for the help.
