Outdoor Cat Deterrant

Hey guys! Received a question recently that I really am not sure what to do about...

"How can I deter stray cats from digging & deficating in my flower garden? I dont want to harm the cats, but need some deterant to stop them. Is there anything I can spray that will be offensive to them, but not hurt them or my family dog?If my Dog finds any feces she wants to eat it. Thank you."

Anyone have any ideas?

Lol...I'm such a dork...I meant to post that in a new thread, and somehow in my tiredness earlier posted it as a reply here...LOL!!! I'll repost as a new thread.

Cayenne pepper sprinkled on the ground is supposed to work. Just the spice. And since it doesn't really have a smell to humans it wouldn't bother her.

Just make sure she doesn't use mothballs.
