Callie's my 10 year old tortie. I came home yesterday to what looked like the entire contents of her tummy on the floor. Big hairball, lots of digested food. She ate at various times throughout the evening, but threw everything up. Got her to keep down a little bit of chicken baby food very late last night and no other throwing up.

This morning, she wasn't interested in eating (very odd), but seemed alert. Normal activity in the litterbox overnight. Got her to eat a little bit of SD p/d and chicken baby food. Came home at lunch, no throwing up (yea!), but still very not interested in eating, and I don't think she's had anything to drink.

I'll be taking her to the vet this afternoon. Pray it's nothing serious and that she's feeling like herself soon. I'm very concerned about her.

The good news is there seems to be no blockage that could be seen on the x-ray. The only thing the vet could see was a little bit of liquid and some gas, presumably from the contents of her tummy being tossed up yesterday. He was concerned that she's totally disinterested in food and water, so he's keeping her overnight to administer fluids and liquid nutrients. She'll also have food available to her to eat. They'll also be monitoring her and he wants to make sure she has a bowel movement and urinates in the box before sending her home. (That could be a long wait as she's been known to hold it for a long time!) We go back tomorrow to pick her up, hopefully.

Keep the prayers and well wishes coming! Thanks so much!

Oh my Stephanie...
I will be praying that sweet Callie recovers quickly from her tummy upset and be good as new when you bring her home tomorrow.

Lots of calming vibes coming to you too.

Keep us updated please.
