My new foster boy is cute as hell, but he's a nightmare! It's like having an actual little human boy! He's 10 months old, never stops, goes 100mph all the time, has managed to get into places and onto places my girls have never been able to get too. He also has this infatuation with attacking anything - absolutely anything that moves!
I have read up on how to curb play aggressive towards people and am working on that, but he is also attacking my furry girls one by one on a regular basis until he has them all scattered. I know for a fact his attacks are play because no matter how hard he bites or grabs on to us, he never ever breaks the skin and it doesn't hurt that bad. It's definitely play, but rough play. I've never really had this much conflict in the house but I've decided to just let them work it out on their own, putting him in time out if things get too rough. I have to say though just how amazed I am at some of the things I've seen recently as I've let it play out on it's own. Recently on more than one occassion, after he begins one of his attack sessions, I've walked into a room to find all 4 of them in a circle around him while he lays low on the floor. Do cats come together on their own like this? It's amazing to watch. They litterally will form a circle around him and just stare at him. It's the funniest damn thing. The other thing that has come to amaze me is my eldest cat. She hated each and every one of my girls as I brought them into our home because she was an only child for 11 years, but she seems to be sticking up for them now. When the fighting begins she shows up most times and will park herself sitting in a doorway to a room just staring at him (he didn't dare move or try to leave the room). She sits there each time for about 10 minutes, then slowly turns and walks away. After that he's calmed down, doesn't attack anymore and he doesn't dare get within 5 feet of her ever. I am just amazed at the way they bond together. Like they know they are sisters and need to protect each other.
For now, I'll just keep an eye on things and make sure it doesn't get worse, but my little clan seems to be bonding against this wild little boy and if it continues the tables will probably be turned and he won't stand a chance....
.
Guess it comes with all types of living beings - men must be put in their place!!

Sometime we girls gotta stick together when it comes to rowdy little boys!!! I found with my two...Lucky (girl) might pretend she doesn't like Rambo, and bosses him around whenever possible, but when he was sick at the vet for a day she was inconsolable!!!! Of course when he came back she licked him and then smacked him and ignored him the rest of the night. Who ever said girls were easy to understand!

Good luck with your gang...it sounds like the girls have it all under control! (ps: your babies are gorgeous!)

Thanks so much!
They may be cute but their personalities are definitely that of women - can't make up their minds. Once I think I know what they want...surprise surprise...... That is a woman's perogative though isn't it?

I think this why I just love cats. They are unpredictable, so full of surprises. As I read more about people trying to introduce new cats, I'm reminded of the freshman year of college where you throw a whole bunch of strangers to live together and hope they get along.
