I agree, but if your kitten is orphaned and you are filling the role as her mom, dampen a wash cloth with warm water and stroke it lightly over her fur reenacting the tongue bath her mom would give her. Don't get her WET, because if she gets cold she could get sick. Make sure to clean her bottom well too!

Since this is about a 9 day old kitten, I am moving this to the Kitten care forum.

I thought your cat Tweek was still taking care of Jonah. He really is too young to be without mom if she is available. If you cannot bring her indoors..she needs to be taken to the vet to be spayed. There are many low cost clinics in Virginia and mom really should be taken in to be spayed before she becomes pregnant again.

You could use a soft brush on the coat or a fine toothed flea comb. As far as bathing, I'd just use a wet cloth unless the kitten is really dirty.

No, once again, I had to bring him in, Tweek will not have ANYTHING to do with Jonah.............................And I know, I need to get her spayed. I don't need reminding. I realize you are looking out for the welfare of future cats and kittens. But, please do not remind me again, I am not stupid, I know....
To everyone else thank you for the advise

Here is my concern regarding Tweek...she already had a litter that didn't go well and the last thing you or her need is for her to become pregnant again. The reminders have not been posted for any other reason then I do believe the longer she goes without being spayed..the greater her chance is to become pregnant again (which neither of us wants to have happen). If you can't get her into the vet soon, then she needs to be confined indoors.
