So I just got in my Feliway diffuser this past Wednesday. I was hoping it would serve 3 purposes. I was hoping it would get Ansel to stop spraying all over the house. I was hoping it would help Bella be less skittish. I was hoping it would make Zan less aggressive towards Bella. I plugged it in an outlet in the hall on Wednesday evening. Thursday morning, I walked out of the bathroom to find Ansel spraying the door at the end of the hall. Last night, I brought him near it and he put out his head and sniffed it a couple of times. I let him go and he promptly went and pounced on Zan. Normally, she is the mean one. She ran into the living room and he ran after her. It seems to be having the reverse affect on Ansel. If this Feliway is going to work, would it work right away, or does it take several days to work its charms?

Peace,
Sophie

I would give it a few days and also check how much ground it covers. Maybe you need one or two more...

This is an important point.

The other thing is when I bought it, my vet said that not everyone notices a difference, so maybe some cats just can ignore it, I don't know.

I was dubious about my (at the time!) two, but within an hour they were social rolling as if drunk.

Dosen't work for my Loki - I think every cat is different and for some it will work and others it won't.

Feliway has absolutely no effect on my Ginger, either - which ticked me off since it was SO expensive!

I made sure to get the diffuser when I brought my new baby home yesterday - I think it has made a difference. She still is hiding, but she does come out and explore. Today she came out several times, ate, played and even napped without running under the sideboard.

I think it is working because she has gone over to check it out and gets very social afterwards. I still haven't been able to cuddle or pet her, but she is slowly coming around and I think the diffuser is helping.
