I was just wondering when you are suppose to interduce kittens to the litter box? And when should you start them on soft food?
cupcake....I have found the most effective way for kittens to learn about food and litter is to contain them in a room with mom...that way, they will get curious about what she does and learn by her example. Make sure mom's litterbox contains either clay or biodegradible litter so the kittens will not accidentally ingest it. I actually used a xerox box top as a "kitten litterbox" and placed it near my foster mom's litter box. I also would feed mom in the room and around the 5 week mark, noticed that her kittens would start to "eat" when mom was resting. Remember, mom is your best ally when it comes to the kittens learning all they need to learn.Originally Posted by cupcake1234516
