interrupted labour wat i have read

i read that a a cat can give birth to one or 2 kittens and then the mom will rest nursing her babies etc..she will accept food and water and be normal except for the fact that she is till big and fromt he prescense of fetal movement that babies still haev to be born.. it says that the resting stage can last up to 24 or 36 hours then the remaining litter is born.. so I dont know if that is what is happenign to my cat or maybe she is just done having kittens but I dont feel the need to call a vet as she is in no pain.. just thought I would post this in case someone else had this problem
