I bought salsa dip, and zaziki, but i also bought sour cream and cream franche`.

1. How can i turn Sour cream and Cream Franche into delicious dips that do not need alot of other ingredients?

2. How do i boil perfect eggs???

3. I need ice, i cant get to a petrol station and im not oging to break my back carrying all the way home, noone i know is coming with a car and i cant drive as i dont have a license, how do i make ice freeze quicker???
I have no idea where the cool box has gone

Here is my list of what i have, unfortunately i focused more on alcohol than on the food! haha

1 bottle of bacardi
2 bottles of apple wine
1 bottle of strawberry wine
12 bottles of beer
6 bottles of pepsi
1 bottle of fanta
1 bottle of sprite
1 bottle of mineral water
1 bottle of still water
2 bottles of Sekt

food:
Chicken (i dont know how many sticks it will turn out to be but it looks little
)
Garden salad
Veggie platter with dip
Sausages
Sausages with bacon
Chips

Fruit platter

People are bringing things but my main concern is that there wont be enough food!!

in a pile of open toed shoes!
Of Fran! I wanna come!!! It sounds like you have plenty... but how many people are you having? For an easy dip, I just add that powdered onion soup mix to sour cream... it takes 2 seconds to mix & that's it. The rest I am no help at all with! Except drinking the wine! I am real good at that!

I am hoping you have these ingredients..if so, try this spinach dip for your veggie platter:

2 packages frozen spinach (I say a lb. or so of fresh spinach would work, if frozen, it's about 10 oz. to 1 lb's worth - if using the frozen, it must be thawed and all the water squeezed out)

1 cup of mayonnaise
1 cup of sour cream
1/2 cup of chopped parsley (fresh)
1/2 cup of green onions (aka scallions) - both white and green part
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
small clove grated garlic.

Mix all together the day ahead. Chill for 24 hours and serve.

This is wonderful with celery, cucumber slices, raw broccoli and raw cauliflower.

Sorry about the creme fraiche, I've only used it to make a chocolate tart or to substitute for sour cream

Well this is how I do hard boiled eggs...I put my eggs in, cover them with cold water, put on the heat and bring the water to a medium boil, then turn off the heat, cover the pan and let the eggs sit there for 20-25 minutes.

They will be hard boiled and no exploding

ps creme fraiche is lovely as something to dip one's strawberries into

I'd agree that onion soup mix stirred into sour cream/creme fraiche would be the easiest; Lidl also sells fried onions in a little plastic tub that you could use. Another possibility is chopping and adding fresh chives. Or just add a little bit of ayvar to taste. The Lidl guacamole dip (el Tequito) isn't bad. Or cut up some hot peppers ("Pepperoni"), and add them.
As for boiled eggs: I put the eggs in a pot of cold, salted water, bring it to a boil, turn down the heat and let the eggs boil for about 8 - 10 minutes. Run them under cold water before peeling them.
Do you have any ice cube trays? If so, fill them with hot water, which freezes faster, and once they're frozen, empty them into a plastic bag you can keep in the freezer, and refill the trays until you have enough cubes. You can also use plastic freezer containers, but will have to crush/break it up.
Did you really plan your party for Friday evening? Saturday at lunch would've been better, with plans to go to a PVA (public viewing area) around 3 to watch England's match at 5.
You can use "Spiritus" as an accelerent to get the charcoal started, but be very careful!

Ooh Fran, that all sounds SOOO great! If you can get to a supermarket you can buy a packet (about .50 cents USD) of hidden valley ranch powder to make a ranch dip. You just mix one packet with your sour cream and voila! You've got yummy perfect dip for veggies!

Honey, the others are bringing Tequila!

will show you pics

I didnt want to buy alot of spirits, because i know it will vanish alot faster if my mother is in the house

Santice: I looked for the ranch powder, they dont seem to sell it here

Tricia: I will just use the electric grill hopefully it works!
I got about a bag full of ice, i expected to use a big box, but i guess it isnt really needed now as only about 5 people are coming...

I found it really rude that people cancelled at the last minute and gave me the reason "oh we are watching the football at the bar and having dinner there"
I definetely dont have a problem with having it set up here to watch it. or atleast if they came later since the game ends at 7.

I had planned this BBQ before i even knew that football was on tonight so.. maybe i should have just looked at the football plan in the first place

Doesnt matter, im sure tomorrow will be good all the same

Just have fun. And make do with what you have prepared, or can put together tomorrow. I've never seen real Ranch dressing here in Germany, though yogurt dressing is very similar. You might end up with more guests than you're currently planning for, as it's supposed to be very hot and muggy tomorrow, and a lot of people won't be admitted to the PVAs, after the actions of English hooligans here in Stuttgart last weekend. Simply play it by ear.
