Tomorrow Eliza goes in for a lion cut. I can't wait! Eliza is normally a bit ornery. She doesn't like to be pet very much and seems to spend a lot of time growling, yowling, and hissing whenever any of the other cats or the dogs walks past her.

I suspect this will all change (for a while) after tomorrow. Whenever I get her shaved, she comes home acting like a sweetheart! She suddenly loves attention, she purrs, she acts happy. After having her shaved a couple of times, she even let me start brushing her. It used to be that I could only even attempt to bring a brush near her when I was dressed in heavy denim and gardening gloves.

Anyone else experience personality changes after a good shave-down?

It's normal for them to be affected. I don't know whether it is the stimulation to their skin of the actual grooming, the excitment of being out of the house, or they realize that being groomed didn't kill them, but a slight personality alteration happens often.
