We had Jello shots here a few nights ago, and apparently, someone got red jello on the counter and didn't clean it up. I found it the next morning and it left a nice little stain. I don't know if it will ever come out! I've tried everything I can think of!!

My countertops are off-white and made of that 'no stick' stuff, (I'm not sure what exactly its called). The same stuff runs up the wall between the countertops and the upper kitchen cabinets. If you can't figure out what I'm talking about I'll try to find some pics online or something.

Anyway, does anyone here know of any way to remove jello stains from countertops?? Any advice at all would be greatly appriciated.

I'm not sure if this is safe for your countertops or not. I usually get some soft scrub with bleach, put a little on the stain, and let it sit for a while, then gently wipe it off.

I could try it in a hidden spot first and see if it hurts them...thanks for the suggestion!

Before you bleach have you tried baking soda? Make a thick paste out of it, put it over the stain, and try to scrub it out. It should work. If it doesn't then I'd try the bleach.

I'm actually out of baking soda right now, and didn't even think of it! Great idea. I'll have to go to the store later anyway. Thanks!

Try Mean Green ( I use it for EVERYTHING) you can get it at the dollar store. It will take chrome off a trailor hitch but it's safe for counter tops and painted surfaces also!

OMG!!! I just ran to the store and picked up some magic erasers (I was skeptical) and these things are AMAZING!!

A couple of swipes and the Jello was gone!! After all that scrubbing!
Who knew it could be so easy???

After that I was running around like a maniac trying it on different things here and there in the house!!
My husband works in Hot Tar Roofing, so there are always little tar smudges on the back door and the kitchen floor...NOT ANYMORE!! Usually it takes goo gone and a abrasive scrubby and a couple of hours to clean all the smudges from the house, the Magic Eraser took it off in seconds!! TAR!! I can't believe it! Nothing takes off tar!!

I'm going to buy stock in these things!!

Thanks for cluing me in....I never thouhgt that they would actually work!

Yea, that would totally funny if you got to go on a commercial.

I've been using the magic eraser for 2 years now. They get even permant(sp??) marker off the wall (Kids
)

My husband also works in a skilled labour (welding) and he always gets black marks everywhere and they take care of those too.

I always recommend them to people looking to get stuff off surfaces. They can be used everywhere in the house and even outside, like in the car or on patio furniture. Anything imaginable basically.
