I am redecorating my livingroom. My new furniture is coming on Friday and I also got rid of the old drapes I had. Now my windows are bare other than mini blinds. I need ideas on some curtains, because I have no idea what I want. Does anyone want to post some pics of your livingroom curtains for me to give me some ideas?

I don't have any blinds or curtains in my living room. My neighborhood is relatively safe and my kitties need to see outside the window.

We haven't done our living room yet, so I still have the previous owners curtains up, and they are horrible. Will dining room do? This room will eventually be getting a complete overhaul also.

Nothing extraordinary. Our livingroom faces east, so we want the light to come in, but at the same time to have privacy. We went for Ivory semi-sheers. We got them at HomeDepot, so I had a look at HD website, in case I could show them to you. I can't get the link to behave but I did see something that's close -- if you're interested you can go here, and look in Home Decor, under draperies and curtains for "Chiffonade Sheer 84 Tailored Panel (Color Ivory)". That'll give the general idea.

It's 3 scarves, one on each side, and one across the top.

I don't have a pic, but I have simple white Irish lace sheers because I have a lot of plants that need the diffused light. Ginger has kindly assisted me by adding her own touch, and now I have white shredded lace sheers.

Actually I don't have anything up either. I have the painted curtain rods but had taken a chance and washed (and dried on the clothes line ) my "curtains".
When we remodeled 10 yrs ago the furniture store I used had some well they are creamy lacey lined with cream sheer fabric that get draped and pinned over the rods. Their were custom made for another client who didn't like them and they sold to me (they had to alter one for the other window). I should really hang them back up but the decorator did it the first time with alot of safety pins so they have swags. I paid (10 yrs ago) $600!!!!! That was a fraction of their original cost!!!
