I recently bought my kittens supermarket cat treats in an effort to teach them their names, which didn't work too well.
One of the reasons being that as soon as they ate the treats they were rocket fueled! Also it made Archie, my usually soppy sweetie pie of a kitten into a meanie who growled at his sister for the first time ever.
I was wondering if anyone knows of anything put into less high quality treats to make them more enticing to cats which has these or other bizarre side-effects. I've thrown them away and I'm planning to buy some 100% dried chicken bits I saw at the vets which will be additive free.
I just hated to see the change in them from sweet, energetic kittens into monsters that were climbing the walls. It reminded me of sugar in toddlers, so could it be that?
Btw i love this site.
