Question for Wisconsin people

For all of you WI people.
What can you tell me about the Green Bay area, as far as jobs, housing (enough room to have horses)
We have been tossing the idea around of relocating there to be in between our families instead of my bf being so far away from his.

I have heard it's nice, but I have no idea about housing or job situations. I would think that just outside of Green bay there would be plenty of room for horses, but don't quote me on that.

We also have thrown around the idea of Moving To Green Bay. The city itself, I would say there isnt much room for horses. But I know that the little villages/towns outside of Green Bay would have room.

Well please feel free to pm me so I can call and talk with you. I live halfway between Green Bay and Appleton in a farm community called Freedom. We have 5 acres and my neighbor with 2 horses has 2 acres. There are quite a few people that have horses.
As for jobs the paper mills used to be the big employers but not any longer. Its fairly blue color but there are lots of insurance companies, hospitals around for jobs. And the trucking industry esp of one has experience.
As for housing I don't think its too bad. For instance one of my clients is putting his house for sale next month. 5 acres 2 acres fenced, a pond and a fairly new house. But only a two car garage no outbuildings. I think he is going to list it around $260. All depends what you want to pay and what you r needs are.
We have lived in our house since 1987 as DH works in Green Bay. Depending on what you are looking for I can try to assist you!!
Do you live in the UP or LP of MI now???

I've only been there for Packer games.

I wouldn't move too near Lambeau Field, it gets pretty hectic on Sundays!

Oh yes yes it does! Packer Games are the BEST! You know how they say they have the best fans!! Looove them! We have like a whole wall and a half dedicated to them.

oh your house prices make me so green!
I am sitting in a 4 bed 2 story detached house in uk. with no land just a small garden. it costs $700!

I think any of the houses around Lambeau would get sold pretty fast. Those people make a nice sum of $$ parking cars on their lawns!! We are 14 miles from Lambeau!!
