Thread of the daily variety 28th June 06

Aarrrggghhhhhhh good morning all.
Last night the guys downstairs got locked out and I woke up thinking I was having a heart attack as they kicked their door in at 3am. They honestly forget that anyone else lives in that building at times. I'm seriously thinking about phoning the young girl who owns the flat. She only moved out last year when she graduated but things have gone rapidly downhill since then....
When I walked downstairs this morning I saw that they are definately now in need of a new front door. If they do not get one within a week I am going to call the girl because she would not want her flat to be left open like that. The lock is broken and the wood is all split so you can see right inside.
I'm shattered because it took them ages to get in so they were banging away for ages.

Then when I fell back to sleep I dreamt that Susan (Rosiemac) and myself and Sar were working in a hotel but we didn't do any work at all we just drank everyday. I think I was thinking about the meet-up before I went to sleep

I'm also devastated today because it was the last episode of The OC last night and what a tragic ending! I actually cried and I'm STILL thinking about it!

Lauren are these the ones that smoke dope as well?. I would get in touch with the girl because i don't know if they've paid her a bond when they started renting, but either way your just looking out for her property at the end of the day because it's quite obvious they aren't!.

She gave everybody in the building a form thing with her phone numbers on it, just advising that she was going to be renting her flat out to students. I can't remember where I put it but I know I kept it.
I've never seen her around so I don't think she comes to check up much. The thing is, because they smoke dope down there, I actually know a few of the guys that go there to do it....I would feel bad about things if they found out it was me who called her. But I suppose she could just pretend she was doing a routine check....

To me your just doing a neighbourly thing, for the ones that's renting as well!, because what if someone got into their flat?.

What if you had a word with them and said something like, " I've got x's number will i give her a ring to sort her door out for you incase someone gets in blah blah blah? ", and you watch i bet they do it themselves after that!

Thats so cruel of the students renting the place! (but then again, people were doing that kind of thing in the block I used to live in) I would actually be tempted to go in and rearrange some things for them!

That would put the willies up them!

Seriously though, I do think that you should give her a call as it could always get worse!

I am off work for 2 weeks

Just done my shopping, new diet starts tomorrow, cant say that i am looking forward to it but i am determined to see it thro

I am doing the Juice Master 7 days de-tox and weight loss. Then once the first 7 days is over i will continue in an effort to change the way i eat for ever

My target is to lose 14lbs (not all in the first week), its all juices, either veg or fruit with grasses and other 'power foods'.

As for the rest of today...well..i am going to Iceland later to get the cats their very

favourite thing for tea...pre-cooked chicken. They love it, and if they are happy then so am i

Then i guess i will start painting the stairwell walls. Been putting it off as it involves a ladder and heights

Mornin' all! Headed off to work in about 5 minutes. bleh...5:14 am. Who in the world thought of first shift? I despise them!

& what happened on the OC, I missed it!! Havent been watching it lately. I havent had time, & I forget everything. But I just wanna know the details.

My day is in total flux today. I don't know how it will turn out. Right now I am at work gathering stuff to take home to work. There is a flood warning (dam on a Lake Needwood in danger of breaking ) near where I live in Montgomery County Maryland. Close enough I am worried for the kits. I don't really care about the house but I have to be near in case I need to take a trip to the shelter with them. Luckily they have set one up that will take animals. Plus if that dam breaks they say 6 to 8 feet of water would flood the road I get home on. My husband says we are on the outer fringes but I am of the mind better safe than sorry and I want to be home. In places it is a mess here in the DC area. Please please please no more rain.

Hmmm, not much going on with me today..I get to watch Canadas Next Top Model tonight. Thats if I get a break from packing..EEP! I'm moving on Friday and my apartment is still normal looking aside from a few boxes but there is still tons of work to do! I hate packing so much

OMG Lauren, I couldn't beleive the finale of the OC either. It was on here about a month ago, and I was bawling too..I just could not beleive it! Noone around here likes the show so I had noone to talk to about it so I haven't got my disbeleif out yet

I don't get it, how can they kill off the main character? Its so weird.

Last night was an awful night. I slept terrible and woke up at 3 am with a headache that wouldn't go away. I kept dreaming I was in the ICU waiting room with my sister and things were quickly going downhill. This morning I feel sick to my stomach and can't eat. Hopefully thhe day will get better!

Good Morning All!

Looks like none of us slept last night...

Last night was a rough one...we mad major rains and severe flooding in Philly. 2 of the main roads were blocked off due to flooding, the river is up onto the parkway, and we are supposed to get more rain! The rain came down SO hard last night, and the thunder & lightening was crazy! My poor little Luckster was terrified, and kept us up all night by cowering in our armpits, tucking her head under my ankle, wedging herself into the crook of our necks... and despite her best attemps to sleep she was wide awake the whole time. Poor baby, it makes me wonder if she remembers it from when she was wild, and it terrifies her more. Then I got a phone call @ 3am. From a private #, and no one answered. Then her majesty "the cat who never sleeps" decided it was time to get up at 6am....the alarm doesn't go off till 7:10.... ugh! At about 6:30 we closed her out.... desperate times call for desperate measures....
Here's to a big cup of java!

Well its thindering and a bit of light rain-there goes hanging laundry on the clothesline.
I have a invoice to do and some design work-good weather for that. The lady who I installed the perennials called last night thrilled with the new garden-she said several neighbors stopped over and admired it too (wait till she gets the bill)
I also might be in the local weekly newspaper as they are intereviewing new business in the area-yea free advertising!!
Couldn't get ahold of my sis so I called her neighbor-they have gotten a bit of rain too-my sisters basement had some water in it but she has been working at swim camp and the dorm where the kids are staying has some flooding and she lost some paperwork that she spent hours working on (this info from our mom).
Watched a bad movie last night-Ultraviolet-again bad movie!!
Plus yesterday afternoon I confined all the cats to the house as evil neighbor was doing shooting I distinctly heard two different types of guns used. I don't know what he is shooting at at 3:30 in the afternoon.
But time to eat some cereal.

Judging by the ingredients that go in the juices i think there will be 3 turned up noses

I can imagine with some of the ingredients that go into these juices! Hopefully you dont get the cabbage diet smell!

Aww, you'll have to get Pete into training then!! Than you can hold the ladder and instruct him!
