There are no stupid questions, but this one comes close.

I have a bad cold, and I just accidentally sneezed all over the kittens! Can cats contract the human cold?

No.. other than Rabies, and parasites, I believe everything is species specific.

Dogs can't catch a cold from a cat, and the other way around.

Humans in fact can catch certain infections and viruses from animals. Also "human" medicine is also animal medicine. Check out the labels next time your kitty gets an infection or tummy ache. You may have the same drug, for the same thing.Their's is ofcourse in a much lower dose.

I'm not worried about cat to human, more of human to cat transmission. I don;t want the babies to get URI's because of my wayward sneeze!

Just incase watch their eyes. If a kitten gets a cold that is the first place most times it appears. And can be treated with an inexpensive medicine. I know I am not much help, but, at one time I lived on a farm and had many many cats and kittens.

I do not recommend treating cats with over the counter products (espcecially URIs) unless you have been given the ok by a vet.
