I am known as cyanide, and I joined this forum in hopes of getting advice on how to raise my kitten into a happy, healthy cat.
I've only had him for a couple of days so far, but he's proven to be surprisingly good tempered. He's a wild cat, born in my neighbors/friends barn, and his mother was recently found dead on the side of the road. I decided that hopefully, he would be better off with me rather then sent to the SPCA. While his brother and two sisters were hissing and spitting at me upon discovery, this one stayed social and friendly. With one exception, he likes to chomp down on my fingers.
He's very clever as well, so I didn't have to litter train him or anything, and he doesn't randomly fall off of things like I've seen some kittens do...
I haven't thought up a suitable name yet, but I'm sure it'll come to me.
Unfourtently I don't have the funding to properly take care of him, food is cheap enough, but I'm still working on getting some money together so that I can take him to the vet for vaccines ASAP.
Anyway, I live in a small town and don't have very many friends due to my anti-social behavior through-out all of my school years, so I'm very very happy to have a kitten of my own, people friends are overrated anyway.
My family has another cat as well, who has been around through nearly 15 years of my life and is on the brink of death. But she has never been to see a vet in her entire life, and is still living. Through that experience I think I can watch another cat grow into old age without somehow accidently killing it...? I hope.
