They Made Me Blush!

Tonight was so hot and the cats and I were on the balcony. I went in to make some supper and when I took it back out, all five cats were lined up in a row, paws and heads between the wooden slats, staring out at something. So of course I stared out too, over the top railing, and there was a man having a pee against the hedgerow below the house. Of course, at that moment he looked up, and I dread to think what he must have thought - that I had been looking at him for several minutes! Not to mention the five little faces also having a good look. And the worst is - I know him! He was one of the drivers who turn their buses round in the circle just below the house and field. He knows me too, we exchange greetings and a few words when I get on his bus. Thank goodness I am leaving soon - I would never keep a straight face as I was buying my ticket.

Something like that happened with my mom and I. We were driving home and we seen a guy standing against a fence.. except he looked really suspicious. We looked at him and was trying to figure out what he was doing--he was going pee! This was right out in public too, and next to a busy street. What a weirdo!

I don't know... After this he may not use that hedgerow ever again!

This could totally have been my husband! I swear that man will pee anywhere, especially after dark. In our wilder days, the man would never pee in a bar restroom, always in a dark corner of the parking lot. Even now, if we are hanging outside after dark, instead of walking into the house and to our bathroom, he will go pee in the bushes. I keep telling him one of these days, something is going to be out there waiting for him and bite it off!

lol. My bf is the same way. The bathroom in the house could be unoccupied, but he'll still go outside just to pee off the edge of the porch sometimes.

I think the cats were just exhibiting their normal obsession with human bathroom functions! And we all have experience with that.

It must have been such a sight from ground floor level!

I agree with Susan that you should give him a wink next time you see him!

I think men must be genetically hardwired to do this.
When my mom and dad come over my dad does this in my backyard -thank goodness no one can see him!!

Oh that's too funny! And gross -what's he doing peeing in your hedgerow?! I hope he felt abashed with all those eyes staring down at him.
I think it must be a primal man instinct to pee outside. My hubby's like that. He loves the fact that he can just go pee in the bushes when we're out hiking.

Ewww, that's gross. Why do they feel the need to whip it out in public?! At a place he frequents too? I hope he was just as embarassed as you were.... although, knowing men, I'm sure he thought it was just grand that you were all looking at him!

Look, Mom, he's marking the bushes! Maybe that's why so many men urinate outside? Dogs do it, cats do it, etc., so why shouldn't humans have some subconscious urge to mark territory, or leave a calling card?

That's a riot!
