Well with all of this July 4th talk, it got me thinking about July 1st, Canada day!

What's everyone doing for Canada day????

It is my 1 year anniversary on July 1st, so we are going to have dinner, a movie and then catch the fire works. I'm really excited.

Happy Canada Day to you too!!!!!
While we'd normally go to Ottawa (there's no better place to be a Canadian than in Ottawa on that day), this year we'll be celebrating with our American friends in Pennsylvania, as they're hosting a Canada Day party for us on Saturday. See, even the Americans love a good Canada Day party. And, of course, I'm bringing everyone a t-shirt that says "Everybody loves a Canadian."

That's awesome. It sounds like fun!

I love a good group get together. I think my sister will be down with her boyfriend and Dh's parents might come down to.

I will probably have to work. I don't get my schedule until later on tonight though but more than likely I will be working. Here theres a music festival that I might go to if I am off. It goes on Sunday too so I might go then, but it all depends on when I work.

I am currently an unemployed student looking for a job so I know I don't have to work.

Dh only works 4 days a week (mon-thurs 10 hour days unless he gets overtime on fridays) so we have a 4 day weekend. I think I would like to have a Canada day bbq party on friday. It would be fun!

I'm not sure yet... I'll have to check out what celebrations there'll be around here.

However, this weekend is also the first weekend of the Jazz Festival. So if the Canada day concerts dont look that exciting, I'll just go to the festival.

Usually we go to Saskatoon or Regina to see relatives and go to the fireworks. This year, we'll probably just have some people over and then see the fireworks.

Cananda day is Canadas version of the US' July 4th.

I will be at a fundraiser most of the day, with the cat rescue.

But July 1st is also my dog Apollo's 5th birthday.. so he will probably spend some of the day at the park with me, then I will make him a canned food cake :p

Canada day is the day we celebrate Canada becoming a country on July 1st, 1867 through the British North America Act.

basically, it's Canada's birthday!
