Mostly for the USAers..........sorry! :)

Just wondering if anyone has a 4 day weekend coming up for the 4th of July holiday weekend?? Do you have any celebration plans??

We don't have a 4 day weekend We don't even have a 3 day weekend!!

We have to work Monday, but have Tuesday off, and then back to work on Wednesday! (crappy if you ask me !)

No plans as of yet, we'll see what the weekend brings.

I think we'll go over to another town close by that has fireworks show, but other than that... nothing much!

I have the option of taking Monday off without pay. I am taking it. I want the 4 day weekend!!

We are off Tuesday, but I am taking Monday as a personal day! No plans as of yet, but we do have a boat load of fireworks!!!

Being sef employed I might be done working for the week!!! (well other than accounting and design stuff). DH took off Friday and monday so we can work on our brick driveway/wayways and patio.

I have that same option, but I'm going to work. I can't afford to take off right now and I don't want to use a vacation day. My husband has to work anyways.

No plans for us, yet, i thought there was another thread about this...could be my mind confusing me.

Course most little places dont' have fireworks cause of the big Washington DC fireworks show.

Yup - taking a 4 day weekend but have to take a vacation day for Monday which really sucks since my company usually let's out around 2PM on the day before a holiday.

I actually have to work on the 4th of July. No time off for the Holiday. Actually, that's usually the way it is for me, unless I'm lucky enough for a Holiday to fall on a Friday or a Saturday. If it doesn't I ALWAYS have to work every Holiday.

I'll be rushing to get home to beat all the chaotic traffic and be home with my girlies before all hades breaks loose with the fruitcakes shooting off the noisy fireworks up and down the beach. This is Serenity's first 4rth of July on the beach and Sierra has never liked all the racket. We'll have soft music, the ocean sound machine and the fans to help drown out the noise. Both beaches on either side of us will be having professional displays, so I'll probably step out to have a look at the shows if Sierra and Serenity are comfortable with it.

I have to work Monday the 3rd, so no long weekend for me. However I am taking the following Friday off to have a long weekend. DH and I are celebrating our 2nd anniversary by going camping!

Nope. We have to work on Monday, then we have Tuesday off. No plans yet either. But then next week is birthday week so my guess is I'll be doing something for all the birthday peoples.

I'm actually having a 14-day weekend for the 4th! I've taken two weeks off for vacation. DH and I are currently in Arizona with my MIL. (Which isn't quite as much fun as it sounds...she's got early-stage Alzheimer's so we're spending our vacation time here to give my SIL, her full-time caretaker, some time off.) We fly back on the 4th, then I've got the rest of the week to myself at home. Since that's the day we fly back, our celebration on the 4th will probably be fairly low-key. My sister's coming over to the house. We'll probably just swim and cook some burgers and go to the fireworks.

I only have Tuesday off and mandatory OT, on Wednesday. I will be one tired woman - it's like having TWO Mondays, in one week

I have no clue what we are doing yet! We are supposed to get together with some friends at some point. We live off the main road to Bristol, RI, home of the oldest Fourth of July parade. So either we stay home until late afternoon, or we get out early! Traffic gets REAL bad!

I'm off for the entire summer because I'm a teacher.

I'm going to Montpellier, France this friday so no 4th of July celebrations for me. I suppose I will celebrate Bastille Day, though...

We are closed on Monday, so I have a nice long 4 day weekend. We'll probably just have a little cookout on our deck and relax a little. I love going to see fireworks but our town has them the following Sunday, so will be waiting until then to see them!

I am walking a dog from the shelter where I volunteer in the 4th of July parade.

we'll probably go watch the firework show and light some fireworks AWAY from the house, because Jenny HATES them.

we will probably barbecue some food as well here.
