Amazing, some of us can see the impact we can/have on another creature, while others are totally oblivious.

Good job Louisa.

It just amazes me how ignorant some people are
People like that don't even deserve to have a pet! I would take them from them. People like that just don't care!

Both look adorable. I love mom's colors and marking. Congrats though. I think you are doing the best for these cat's, and are giving them the proper love and attention they need. Thank you for having such a kinda heart to take these 2 in. Best of luck to you!

Both are very pretty, and I don't think Karma sounds weird - very appropriated, actually.

I am glad there is a happy ending to this, but it is such a shame the mum cat is pregnant again. You are going to keep them as indoor only though aren't you? I wouldn't advise contacting the RSPCA in the future though, there is a good chance they wouldn't help (and that is the best case scenario)

Why? What do they do?

(BTW, I'm not disbelieving you: in Limerick we have the LSPCA and Limerick Animal Welfare, and the LSPCA is basically useless, and at least one vet. nurse I know despises them for the sheer number of animals they have put down.)

Do your neighbours know that you have taken their cats in? (Not saying that it wasnt the right thing to do, was just wondering..)

Whilst foxes CAN kill cats, it is very very rare for them to do so. There has been a lot about it in the news recently after a pack of 5 foxes were seen attacking a cat. An animal expert said that it was so rare that this was the 1st incident he had heard off in 40 years. (But very young motherless kittens are I expect a differnt matter. they may well have got them or at least eatne their remains
)

Basically, they dont have a no kill policy, and I think their numbers of just cats pts last year is 4 figures, never mind dogs and other animals. I could find some links.

Right. Just as well Louisa had no luck then. Are there any no-kill shelters? The UK is so much bigger (esp. population wise) than Ireland, that I imagine that there are more organisations than here.

Yeah - they dont fully admit they are no kill though, but the statement they give out basically says that if they can't find a suitable home for a cat, then euthanasia will be considered. I thought the majority of rescues in the UK were no kill, the majority of smaller independent rescues will be - and there are lots in the UK. If anyone in the UK does want lists, pm me and I will send you a link
