Modem Issue

I've just installed a new modem onto my computer (not this one, of course). It went fine, and I can now hear sound on my computer without it meaning that I have to restart.

However, I still cannot connect to the internet. It will connect to my ISP's computer, but on verification will pop up error message 6: "the handle is invalid". What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

the "handle" is your userid for when you are trying to log in. If this problem continues, it is best to contact your ISP. Before doing so, please also double/tripple check what you are typing in there. I know sometimes I have "flappy fingers" and mistype things. Also, it might be case sensitive.
