I have never had a pregnant cat before. Or even seen one giving birth really except at work once when the cat had babies in the litter box and killed them by burying them in litter.

Anyway, this gray and tan torti I found yesterday is a little antsy in her cage. She keeps rolling over trying to get comfortable. She is also breathing fast. But then she will be fine for a few hours. Then get antsy again and breathing fast. If she hasn't had them yet tomorrow I am taking her to the low cost clinic because she is coughing. She look like she is going to have a hairball but just sort of gags.

Well in the meantime, I am feeding her Premium Edge kitten food. Keeping her litterbox clean and waiting to see if she has the babies this week before going to Tiger Ranch next Sunday. I don't know what I am going to do with her if she has them. I have no room for these guys. Maybe in the closet I can set them up I guess.

I have a big feeling she is going to have them tonite or something. She can't get comfortable, she just started panting a little bit and she growled when I touched her belly...

Or she just had to take a poo. Now she is all sweet and purring again. I am taking her to the vet in the morning, still panting a little.

A lot of late-term girls will get a little constipated and then go like crazy right before delivery. Watch her carefully, Jen and my guess is that she will burrow down and have those babies pretty soon.

By the way, welcome to caring for a pregnant cat, lamb. I sincerely hope everything goes smoothly, both for you and for this little girl.

No babies yet! Thanks for all your help and suggestions, I will keep watch. She burrowed all the way to the dark back corner of my closet and is laying there. Everything is telling me it will be soon. I was going to take her to the vet today but I don't think I should disturb her. The cough sounds like a nasty hairball honestly, and I hope that is all it is. The diarrhea I assume is just from her pregnancy and restlessness maybe? And the fact that she ate a lot of crap on the streets for the majority of this pregnancy. I will go pickup a little canned raw pumpkin.

Oh I have the a/c on in my room since it gets really hot in here if not. That won't affect the babies when she has them will it? The closet I am guessing she will have them in is slightly warmer, she is laying on a towel and I assume her body heat will keep them warm right? It isn't extremely cold in here, i just have it on to cool it down a little bit.
