I know there is alot of bad vibes flying around here lately and I don't want to add to it, but I need to VENT!

I am supposed to be moving in 4 days, and my new landlord won't return my calls. I have left her 3 messages asking her when I can move in, and she won't call me back!!
This makes me worried that I won't get the place somehow. I gave her the rent deposit, but why the heck isn't she calling me? I'm so worried about it.

AND

My phone has had no dial tone for 4 days now, and the "company" who we have our phone servcie with isn't doing anything!! The phone has been on and off for over a month now, and they have sent 2 repair guys, and now the phone is completely dead. I call them, and their like "try this and get back to us"..I'm like "I cannot call you, I don't have a freakin PHONE!!!"

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I'm sorry - maybe I'm missing something, but...if your phone isn't working then how do you know that landlady hasn't tried calling you?

I can still check my voicemail, so I would know if she called.

We all need to vent sometimes - sending good vibes.

I don't want to create more worries, but a scam was run here in Ireland recently where a con man posed as a landlord (rented an apartment and pretended he was the landlord to the people he 'interviewed'), took deposits from everyone, gave everyone a set of keys and a move in date - you can imagine that all hell broke loose when everyone started to move in.

Maybe you should ring the police and investigate?

Sending Pollyanna vibes.

in a pile of open toed shoes!
Awww, I feel your pain. Some days it seems that nothing could possible get worse....
It is so frusterating to deal with phone companies... I just had a fight with Nextel last week and each week before that for the past month! My key line when dealing with the telephone gastapo is "this is unacceptable and I will not tolerate it, if you can't help me then I would like to speak to your supervisor" repeat as many times as necessary.

As far as the land lady goes, maybe she is not the type to leave a message. I don't usually leave them unless I know the person well. But it is very unprofessional of her to not call you back. Maybe there is a good reason?
It would be awful to give her a piece of your mind
if something terrible happened. Although, I would probably be as equally upset as you are....easier said than done right?!

I hope it all works out for you....

I just think I'll seem like a stalker if I go over there.
