I registered awhile ago and posted once but I've mostly been lurking. I just have to say that I have gotten a lot of great ideas and advice from this site!
I had not owned a cat it over ten years when I finally convinced my husband that life would not be complete without a cat! Fortunately for me my husband is a total mush when it comes to animals (he even hand raised a litter of kittens as a kid when the Mom got killed). So after months of me sending him links from petfinder he finally said we could get one after the New Year.
So we when to the shelter and Abacat (named after the Genesis song) picked my hubby. I have to say that she's the best cat ever! (Ok so I may be a little biased
)
As soon as we got her home she jumped out of her carrier looked around for a couple of seconds and ran right upstairs to her litter box.
They told us she is a tortie but really she looks like a tortie on top and a calico on her belly.
Now that she is settled in and is the ruler of the house I am thinking about getting another one. I will post about that separately because I have some questions.
