Anyone with kids ever feel like housework is never done? I spent all weekend cleaning just to wake up today to a house needing to be cleaned! I need a maid lol My oldest daughter (11) is at cheerleading bootcamp. I know when she gets home she will be cranky! My 9 and 5 year old daughters are still sleeping their not feeling good! I finished most of my cleaning and started another load of wash. So I have the kitchen left which is pointless since I will be needing to cook again soon! I need to invest in paper products so cleaning is easier lol It's been almost a year since the hurricane distroyed my house and all we have left is one bedroom to finish for my youngest daughters which we will start on next week when hubby goes on vacation! I'm so excited because right now my daughters are sleeping in my diningroom turned bedroom/playroom. My house has a open floor plan where the living room den and diningroom are all open and exposed maybe thats why I feel it always looks a mess because you can see their toys and beds. Theirs not really a point to this post just me rambling away since I am the only one up and I'm avoiding the kitchen clean up lol. I hope everyone has a great day!

I've actually pretty much given up on having a clean house. I can go thru and pick up toys and in 30 seconds, there are more scattered about. I try to clean the kitchen every day, the bathrooms once a week, vacuum once a week, sweep twice a week, and my husband generally takes care of the laundry. I've decided not to let clutter bother me. Two toddlers live here and they need my time more than the house! Still, I find myself apologizing if someone stops over unexpectedly.

It doesn't ever stop, even after the kids are out of the house. Sorry to burst your bubble...

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I cleaned like crazy on Thurs night cause my family was coming over and I wanted it to look nice.... and hubby says "why are you cleaning when it's just gonna get filthy with the kids coming over anyway, your just gonna have to re-clean after they leave?" Point noted.... my sink is FULL of dishes.... my carpet is dirty from the rain and their little shoes, the bedroom has toys exploding from the toy box to all over the floor, and I have 2 loads of towels to do since they all took showers, did I mention that I just pulled the towels out of the dryer Friday evening???

Oh well we have this house fairy, she is excellent, she comes every day, puts pots in the dishwasher, empties it, cleans floors, feeds cats ( and men )

puts toilet rolls on the holder, changes beds, dusts, washes & irons clothes ..........oh and loads more jobs.....................

Oh heck, how daft, its ME ! !
but everyone else thinks we have a house fairy !!

This thread has kind of motivated me to clean house. Having a clean house always cheers me up, its the cleaning part that's kind of a downer!

Hate it!
Wish I had a cleaner. I would still have tons to do but would get a head start you know!
Its not just the work its boring and dull and repetative and pointless as it last 5 mins!!!

I cleaned the house from top to bottom today! I am so proud of myself. Growing up, we had a houskeeper that came in once a week, but my mother would make us CLEAN before she got there. Not the heavy duty stuff, mind you, but still straighten everything up, do the dishes, sweep, vacuum, etc. In my mind its completely defeated the purpose of having a housekeeper. I really want someone who would come in every two weeks or so, but I can;t justify the expense considering I am a stay-at-home-mom. As soon as these girls go to preschool and I go back to school, hello houskeeper.

lol, My mom had a house cleaner once a week or two weeks(for like 6 months or so) and she also made us clean before they came....I didn't get it.lol

My house is never clean! I mean as clean as I want it. I would have to spend all day every day to have it clean. I've just given up. I live in a small space, so it always seems cluttered with a young child and his toys. I cannot wait till I can buy my own house.
