Hi all

My mummy cat decided last night that the kittens needed a change of scenery. She keeps trying to move them but takes them to really inappropriate places. I've been moving them back but she keeps trying again and again.

I'm not sure what I should do? Let her move them or keep putting them back to their nce box in the airing cupboard.

Thanks

It's instinct to move them regularly to keep predators from smelling them. Can you put several boxes around so that she has some good places? Or change the box in the airing cupboard so that it doesn't have any cat smell? Otherwise the chances are she will just keep moving them to places you can't find them.

Thanks for your reply

She has several boxes around the house but is insistent on taking them to really unsafe places.

I change the bedding in their box every few days to keep it fresh anyway, but have done it again.

She didn't try again yesterday, but did in the night fortunately I caught her.

I think I will just be consistent and move them back as it seems to work.

They have today opened their eyes so it's even more important that they can't wonder off.

I'll be moving them to their nursery in a week or so which is a big dog cage in another room. I'm thinking I may offer it to her earlier.
