Hello all.
My family adopted a 5 yr. old tabby from the SPCA 2 months ago. The decision was made as a last resort when our neighborhood mice threatened to take over our home. We're quite thankful that "Cat" (M.J. Flyer) did a quick and effective job evicting our unwanted tenants. What I didn't expect was bonding with this animal! Having never owned a pet, I knew absolutely nothing about caring for a cat. But like most projects I become interested in, I found myself devouring everything I could find to properly care for our new family member.
The cat's adopted name is Flyer. My eldest daughter tagged him M.J. (Michael Jackson), hence, MJ Flyer. My wife and I simply refer to him as "Cat", but I personally refer to "Cat" as "Shadow" since he follows me throughout the house whenever I'm home. I can go on and on about "Cat" if you allow me to. My co-workers find it amusing that I pamper the pet so much (premium cat food?), and my wife warns me to stop "weirding out over the cat".
'nuff said.
Thanks for the forum.
