Brain melt

I need to hear from those with younger kids. There is a toy out on the market today that is just a soft pole-like object. Not made from nurf material but something comparible. Kids can hit others kids with it and not hurt them. Anyone know the name of this thing? I am hitting a blank and need it for an article-

Yeap, noodles... we have had our "run-in disaster" with noodles... hope you don't have anything valuable in the house...

We used to have a couple they were great stress relief.

I bought a pile of those noodles for $1 each last year at the dollar store when the kids went to a babysitter who had a pool. They LOVED using them in the pool!
