I started feeding Royal Canin babycat and he did fine. Now he eats Wellness kitten (can't get at petsmart). The RC was a good food, I just think the Wellness is better

I tried Authority, and Innova Evo but one gave them gas, the other diarrhea. I use Healthypetnet both wet and dry and he does very well on it. But its a mail order

I had my girls on Natural Choice before, and they seemed to do quite well on it.

My opinion: When you're looking for cat foods, look straight to the ingredients. Choose foods that feature real meat - not byproducts - as the first ingredients. Avoid foods with corn, as it's a cheap filler that many cats are allergic to. I try to stick to these guidelines when finding food for my girls.

Our local Petsmart carries Spa Select. My cats love it. I also feed them Nutro Max. If I could afford it I would feed them Wellness. Petco in my area has a new food out. It looks good but I can't remember the name (I will look tomorrow).

I've made a matrix for kitten kibbles that is available at my country ( specifically at my place ).

the funny thing is I still can't decide between Iams, Royal C or Eagel. So I'm waiting for the votes to come in. I'm going for popularity.. just like American Idols winner, base on popularity rite?

I had a trail mix of several different brands of kitten food.

My thought is: almost every food had some trace impurities....having a mixture makes the buildup of those trace impurities in the systems much slower.

I don't shop at PetSmart.

The food I buy is from a local, small business (support the little guy!) whose prices are amazing and will deliver everything for only $5 extra. I'm a true believer in premium food, you feed your cats less and financially it all works out. So for me, I buy: Innova, Innova Evo, Wellness, and Old Mother Hubbard. I just spent under $120 (including five bags of greenies) for three cats and the food will last them three months. For me, feeding a cat for under $15 a month is great! Now, I did this because two of my cats had urinary infections when they were a few weeks old and it was recommended by my vet that they only eat foods with cranberries and a few other things in them. This is the food the vet told me to buy, and they have eaten it ever since. I know many will disagree with "premium" food, but my cats love it, and I don't think that I'm spending that much more on them then other people.
