Girl/Boy Kitten grooming each other...

Hello,

I have two 11 wk old kittens- not fixed, a girl and a boy from the same litter- they are constantly grooming each others privates... sometimes one will do this while the other is sleeping and I dont know if this is normal for them to do it in these areas or do you think they are coming of age ? I have not noticed the girl being in "heat" however I dont know if this is the begining-I have always had two girls and never saw this...

Do you have their spay/neuter appointments set up yet? I know males can have sperm as young as 4 months. Females go in heat anywhere after 4 months. So you need to separate them until they have been spay/neutered. The male can also carry sperm up to a month after being neutered.

I hate to think of my "babies" this way so it really makes me feel 'someway' to see them clean each other- I KNEW i should have gotten two girls!
