Im having a bbq and i need your help..

I'm a vegetarian and am a bbq junkie! I would bbq everyday if I could. You could get some vegetarian hot dogs or hamburgers. Those are GREAT. They make vegetarian EVERYTHING these days! They even make vegetarian meat kabobs. As someone mentioned, you could skewer some veggies (peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc etc) and throw those on the bbq. Just brush 'em with a marinade or bbq sauce and voila! Bbqed tofu is good, too. Well, good luck! Don't forget to have fun, too.

We marinade our chicken in Italian dressing SO good!

agree about veggie skewers, and definately the grilled corn on the cob-that's delicious. potato salad is always good too.

veggie burgers and hot dogs have gotten a lot better than they were ten years ago. i eat meat, but i still eat veggie burgers sometimes, just cos i like how they taste. i've tried to go veggie, but i can just never seem to last at it :/ i think the only way i'd last is if i was in a relationship with someone who's veggie. but sitting down to dinner with a salad in front of me while next to me someones eating a juicy t-bone... not gonna work.

Kumara is a NZ variety of sweet potato - not sure if it's available overseas but it is delicious.

Many of my friends are veggies and I always provide a large rice salad, which everyone loves and which fills people up. Cooked long grain rice with mixed nuts, raisins, cooked peas, diced carrots, sweetcorn, chopped peppers and onions, with a handful of fresh herbs looks pretty and is delicious. It is also great if you mix in a bottle of blue cheese salad dressing.

I would half cook everything in the oven 15- 20 mins before they arrive so you don't have to worry so much about it being cooked

Not everything is going to be cooked on the bbq because its actually a Electric one, and i know alot of people dont like it so much.

I was planning to make the water melon and strawberries injected in vodka!

I will have to look at the supermarket to see if they have veggie burgers.

I am partially vegetarian, i will only eat meat occasionally.

Last week we discovered cauliflower Schnitzle! ooo that was delicious!

My friend is bringing noodle salad.

And the rest are bringing booze!

i am providing beer, cola, fanta, sprite, and rum!

I marinade chicken in a mixture of honey and french dressing (half and half) with a dash of garlic thrown in. The sweetness takes the bite out of grilling process.

its 7 am, i got up an hour ago and im still bloody drunk! just trying to clean up here.

the tequila bottle is nearly empty

two bottles of wine are empty, and most of the beer is gone!
Nobody touched the salad which was dissapointed.

The meats are gone.
half of the food i just chucked out as it wasnt eatable anymore.

My success was the chicken skewers that Tricia told me to marinade in the Knorr dressing i am told to make those again for next time

I had 4 cups of wine 3 shots of tequila washed down with more wine, then i had mixed a glass of tequila and cola and just skulled it.

My friends had to bring everything up because i was so wasted
My friend ended up sleeping here untill 6 am and cuddled up to me

Now i look at the kitchen and i so wanna go back to bed because i dont wanna clean anyting!
