Does anyone have any records they kept from kittens you've owned, that shows how much your kitten weighed at 16 weeks?
When we first got our kitten we let her eat as much as she wanted, but we are now starting to control how much she eats. Until her vet appointment, I thought I would see what everyone else's kitten weighed when they were around 16 weeks.

I looked at the bag today (we feed her Natural Choice Kitten food) and it says up to 19 weeks she should eat about 1/4 to 7/8 cup a day. She had been eating about 1 cup I would guess (at the very least). But she is very active and does not seem overweight at all except that her ribs are not all that easy to feel (I read they should be easy to feel). I am guessing she is 3-4 lbs, but I'm guessing based on some weights from my weight bench that I held while holding her at the same time (we have no scale).

She'll be seeing the vet soon, but I thought any information to give me a rough idea where she stands until her appointment would be good. I found nothing on google. All I could find was a rough estimate that said a kitten should gain a lb. every month up until it's 6 months old, so the estimate was that a 4 month old kitten should weigh about 4 lbs. Maybe I'm just being over-cautious about the fact that her belly still seems a little chubby?

You know...my two were 4 months...8.5 years ago. I think I free fed and yes, if I recall properly...habenaro was always slightly "rounder" than her brother. If your kitten seems plump and hasn't seen a vet at all...it could be a case of worms.

Good luck with your vet visit. Also, now is the time to schedule her spay.
