How am I supposed to take this?

So I took Scratch Fury Destroyer of Worlds to the vet two weeks ago. The vet deemed him "substantial". Is this a nice way of saying that I have a chubby cat?

I should say this; we weren't allowed to hold him when we went to adopt him. Once he finally came out from under the chair where he had hid for two days I noticed his paws. They are the size of silver dollars. I think that I may have adopted the Incredible Hulk of cats.

I love big kitties, some cats just like some humans I think are genetically predisposed to be hefty babies.

Cool! The biggest cat I ever had was also the biggest love bug. He was a whopping 22 lbs. of red tabby sweetness, none of it fat. His paws would cover my palm, his head was the size of a softball, and his back was level eith my knees. He had the funniest little meow, like a tiny kitten. He could have easily been the alpha male, but he was happy just to be a big baby, and let the others sort it out. I miss my by boy.

We have 2 cats that are slightly overweight...both are better since I started regulating their diet (now one just has lose skin cause she's too lazy to move).

Whitey on the other hand, he's got bear size paws and is a big cat (eats like a horse too). So if your kitten has huge paws most likely that means he will be a slightly larger cat.

"substantial" love it! that's like the Seinfeld episode where the guy described the scary baby as "striking".

Tricia (jcat) has a really big cat!! Too bad Jamie didnt like me though
He looked real cuddly with those big paws!

Kaylee isnt even half the size of him!

One of my favorite things is when I introduce Scratch to someone. They often ask how old he is, when I tell them 9 months I usually get a gasp.

My digital camera is out of commission for a while. When I can go get a new charger I will start a thread of just my boys.

Jamie doesn't look that big!

Some of mine are big too, you can tell that they are supposed to be 'more substantial' by the size of their features (huge heads and paws), I have an incredible hulk kittie too

My old boy was 'substantial' I loved him that way!
