the kitten is nursing ok and everything, but i noticed its belly is bigger than its head is this normal or am i just being paranoided because i have never had the experience of raising a new born kitten.
It is also probably worms- most kittens are born with parasites. But you have to wait until they are old enough to be tested for worms. I would only panic if the cat isn't peeing and pooping. Eating more than is coming out.
How much should they poop a day? And how can on tell in newborns anyway? It's so hard at this stage to gauge how well they're doing.
Sneakers doesn't clean them off very well, so I get to see a great deal of it. What is newborn poop supposed to be like? Mushy? I would assume pellets at this age mean constipation, correct? All my newborns have bellies that are slightly wider than their heads... I want to make sure this is okay. Now I'm all freaked out.
