The kittens are white, and may grow up to have blue eyes like thier father Tigger, who's part siamese. Cocoa is a beautiful small tortishell, she was a runt but grew up perfectly fine, and now at one year old she's having kittens! But this will be her only litter, becuase we are not cat breeders, we just didn't get the father fixed in time. But boy are they cute!! And I would like to know if they are healthy, becuase they where born on May 27 and people said thier kittens where eating dry food at five weeks, they are about four weeks now and have smelled the wet food, but haven't eaten it yet. They watch and immitate Cocoa. So they'll probibly be eating soon, Right? To see pictures of them in thier life's stages click on this link to go to my page.

Most kittens will sample dry/canned food at around 4-5 weeks old but would rather still nurse. Don't push them yet - if they haven't started eating more dry/canned by 7 weeks, then worry.

BTW I usually wet the dry food at first and gradually leave more dry then wet. Kittens usually like soupy canned foods better when weaning.

Is mom part siamese too? And what color is the father - you say he's blue eyed and white?

They are gorgeous, but don't forget all kittens have blue eyes when they are born, then their eyes change to the permanent colour around 6/7 weeks, if I remember correctly.

Welcome to TCS. I do hope that you have fixed your male cat by now because male's can carry active sperm for a month after they are neutered and females can become pregnant again as early as a week after giving birth. If you need a low cost clinic, just let me know.

to answer your question, Tigger is a white cat with blue eyes. And Tigger is also part Siamese becuase of his blue eyes and tan markings on his tail and ears.

Cocoa is a brown tortie, she's a mix of browns and tans.

And thanks for the halp, it's just that we have neer had a litter of kittens before, we just didn't neuter Tigger in time, but I overjoyed that the kittens are alright!

Cookiedog...if your male is not neutered yet...I would make sure that your male is kept away from your female as she could become pregnant again. Below is a list of low cost clinics:

MINNESOTA
Spay, Neuter, Aid Program (SNAP)
Contented Critters
PO Box 385
Makinen, MN 55763
218-638-2153
Low cost spay/neuter for pets of qualified low income people.
Duluth Animal Allies Humane Society
& City of Duluth Animal Shelter
2627 Courtland St
Duluth, MN 55806
218-722-5341

If he has been neutered..then it is ok for him to interact with your female as long as it has been a month since his neuter.

and one more thing, we have found owners for two of our kittens, but we still have one left, so is anybody interested in adopting a free kitten? If not do you know a webpage or website that has people in MN who want a free kitten?

I really wouldn't give the kittens away for free unless you absolutely know the indivduals who are adopting the kittens and can verify that they are spayed/neutered and provided age appropriate shots:

Looks like at least one of those kittens is a flame point, do you have any pics of the other kittens older like the last pic?

Yes we do, but they didn't turn out right. Every kitten is a flamepoint though. They look almost identical!

Please do not give the kittens away for free unless you know the people really well that they are going to and you know that they will spay them before they reach 6 months old and take them to the vet and everything. I usually try to spay and netuer all the babies before going to a new home and then charge an adoption fee to make up for it. It is never a good idea to give away free kittens. People (who seem really nice and honest) go around collecting kittens to sell to labs and places for testing and also collect them just to hoard and keep a ton. Like the people you see on Animal Precinct on Animal Planet who have 100 cats in their disgusting house. Or there are even stories that pop up now and then of people collecting free pets to kill and torture. Please please do not give them away for free.

Another good idea if you can't have them spayed and neutered before they go to new homes, is to charge an adoption fee and offer to refund it when they get the cat altered.
