Nutrition Options for Diabetics

Hello all,

I have a stable 14-yr-old diabetic cat who is currently being fed Hill's Prescription Diet Formula WD. I'm a little miffed at Hill's because they test on animals so I'm wondering what other vets have recommended/prescribed for other diabetic wonders. Just want to see if we have any options...

The vet I work for has dabbled in hill prescription, but usually for allergies or speacial needs he uses Walthams IVD rx foods. He seems happy with the results and with the products.
