This was Sammy the spider that lives outside my window here at work.....

Well, I think he got in this morning.......this HUGE spider was zipping across the office..........the girl I work with wanted to kill it, but I told her no. We nervously scooped him into a coffee cup, slammed a lid over it and took him outside.............

I hate spiders, but I just couldn't kill him............

not with me eather. i suffered terrible arachnaphobia for years, and finaly when i saw how terrified my own child was of all bugs, i started making myself calm down and not be so freakishly afraid. there was once a spider in my private bath when i was growing up. i refused to shower in it, and had to use my moms for weeks because of it. I was terrified. But now i have to kill tons of bugs, because my son freaks out. now when i see a spider.. i make the hubby kill it because i still start to panic, but i cant let the boy see that

I would have been on top of the desk hyperventilating, lol. I am so deathly afraid it is actually pretty ridiculous.
BUT, I do remember Sammy and the mud dauber, so I don't know. You've already formed a sort of bond, lol, so good for you for not killing him! My silly self wouldn't even squish him up close, I'd be throwing books at him from the top of the desk! I am a sad sad case, lol!!!

I am so glad I'm not the only person like that! When I moved into my DH's house I started to learn how to cope with spiders because this is the middle of nowhere and it's impossible to get rid of all spiders... there are some pretty big suckers here too... I have a fly swatter in everyroom for the spiders and when DH is home he is called to kill them. I've learned to let daddy long legs go because DH won't kill them. I can't use bug spray either because it could hurt our babies.

I still HATE HATE HATE spiders and if I've seen one before I got to bed I lose sleep over it so it's just easier for me to stay up later LOL (is that sad or what?)
