At what age can you start giving kitten bathes? My guys are stinkers, they all need a bath or a least a good wipe down with a bath wipe. Any tips on giving a kitten its first bath without getting all scratched up?Thanks!

I don't know but if you still have the mama she will clean them up nicely and cats for the most part are very very clean animals and will bathe themselves good. Maybe someone else on here can tell you a definte date. How old are you kits any how?

Mine are 7 weeks old tomrow, they are so stinky! Momma cleans them but it doesnt get rid of the smell. They are having diarhhea issues at the moment so they get it all over them, they look clean but they smell.

I would not bath them but you could try a soft damp cloth in neutral shampoo solution, or baby wipes, to clean them gently all over.

Sounds like the kits have worms - you'd better have a vet exam them and give them appropriate medicine.

If they really are that bad (dirty/stinky) you can wash them but be sure they are not chilled - keep them warm and out of drafts. I have washed kittens a few weeks old (5-6 weeks) with no problems - none caught colds or got sick.

You also might want to sit by a blow dryer and help dry them more quickly - just be sure they are not too close to the dryer.
