I get to go spend some time with my father tomrrow!!! I'm so excited! I love hanging out on his boat, and watching the ducks float by.

I've got good news!
March 10th, I posted in a thread called Kick the Habit about wanting to stop drinking pop. Well, I think I'm on my 4th week of NO pop!
To top that off, I have been really watching our budget and setting goals to cut spending here and there and apply what I save to make extra mortgage payments. I've been tracking our spending since January.
I couldn't get us below spending $200 on eating out a month. Well, last month (June) we only spent $79!!!!! Also, we went from $400 a month in gas to $324!!! I'm so excited.
I'm also trying to kick the habbit of pop but it's balancing out because I'm drinking more water and only have a diet once in a while. Eventually I plan to get to none, so again, amazing job.
My mother-in-law had a great day yesterday!
My hubby and I have come down to stay with my mother-in-law while my sister-in-law and her husband (who live with her and are her primary caregivers) have a little much-needed time off. My MIL has recently (5 weeks ago) lost her husband of 57 years and is suffering from early-stage Alzheimers. Her primary problems are short-term memory loss, dementia, and depression. She's deteriorated somewhat in the few weeks since we saw her last (understandable, under the circumstances).
This doesn't sound much like good news so far, but yesterday we had an old family friend over during the day, and my brother-in-law's family over for a barbecue in the evening. It was a wonderful day! She still slept a lot, but after she got up she was talking with everyone and joking and generally having a great time. I've always adored her, and it was just wonderful to see a glimpse of her old self again!!

This morning while I was eating breakfast, I had a furry, purring cute little Trout creature on my lap, and she was being so cute!! (before she started biting me) I always say, if she's purring, its a surefire sign I'm going to get bit

I fell asleep last night with Harley laying on my pillow with me and Davidson snuggled up by my side in my fleece blanket

I found Star Trek movie DVDs for about $10 each at WalMart!!!!! Bought three and watched one already.

My moms coworker brought up pretty bubbles to use at my sisters wedding so I don't have to tie up bird seed packets like we thought I would!
Now I can go back to getting baby shower stuff ready. oh and we might have the baby shower catered! No cooking for me!

I have a good news...
I got an A+ in my first Spanish class!!!
This is my first A+ too. All the other classes I took so far were in history and A+ is almost impossible to get in history. I was usually fluctuating between A and A-.
The grading in that Spanish class was so much more generous than in history. Still, that A+ will look great in my transcript and it got my GPA from 3.71 to 3.76

The intense heat is finally breaking and we have a breeze here after a whole week of stifling heat!
I also got the base color of my wall done and the first coat of the red border done
Just waiting for it to dry and then I will do a second coat and then I can do the boarder and the Japanese kanji. I am so excited for it to be done, so I can move on to the next project: My son's room!

I got an email today from the Best Friends organization-they want me to do a home visit for a potential dog adoption!!! I have left a message with the potential owner to set the visit up. I thought this is cool!!!!
