Hi, I just got a new kitten (About two months old) And she seems very skittish in her new home. Is that to be expected? I would imagine it is since she (Or he) Is still a baby pretty much I wouldn't expect that the everything to be normal.. The kitten likes to hide from people right now but she's only been here a couple of hours

Yes completely normal. Give her a quiet room for now untill she gets used to the new sights, sounds and smells.

To be skittish in a new home is normal.

What I do when I get new pets is to introduce them to only one room at a time so it isn't so overwheleming and the new addition has a chance to adjust. I would suggest putting your kitten in one room with all of its things for a day or two and then slowly let her explore the rest of the house. It helps a lot.

Awww....well imagine how she feels being in a new place, with lots of strangers and away from her family. I agree with Bengalbabe...give her a quiet room to get settled in....put her food and litter in that room and let her explore her new surroundings. When you go to visit her..let her be the one to come to you. Read to her quietly and praise her progress. Hopefully she will soon understand that this is her home.
