Cured from NOT using the box

I have two male cats, one is 6 and the other is 13. About a year ago the older cat decided to pee everywhere except in the box. At first, I went through experimenting with different litters, but nothing seemed to work. And naturally at the same time I was looking for solutions to help with the smell. That I am still working on. Although leaving baking soda on the rug for a 1/2 hour and then vacuuming does help!

But anyway, I did 3 things.

1 I moved one of the litter boxes to the original place it was when I moved here.

2. I placed newspaper on the rug and sat the boxes on the paper.

3. I told him that "dad was not very happy with him"

A miracle. He has returned to using the box...no problems for 2 months!
