We have 3 kittens, 2 male and one female we are trying to tame. They are 3 months old and their mother was feral. She disappeared about a month ago: they had already started to eat dry food along with her before that, and they had a big brother as well, so we thought they were taking her loss OK. We also gave them milk.
The two males have tried to suck the female for several weeks, and now she goes along with it, even seems to encourage it. Today I repeatedly tried to get the one male away from her, and when he wasn't at it, she then sat up, bent over and appeared to be sucking herself. Her front paws did the milking motion while she did this.
I want to stop all this, but don't know how without impairing their taming. Advice is welcome!
