I have a year old cat named Oreo. Normally he'll go up into our bathroom and sleep on top of the cabinet at night, and I basically have to close him in there. Otherwise he'll do one of two things, either he'll be closed out of our room entirely and will stand outside the door crying to get in all night long and keep us awake, or he'll sleep on my face. He seems to like it up there though, on the cabinet, and no problems have arisen from this perch, so it's all good.
But what is it about cats sleeping on people's faces? Why does he do that? I don't mind him sleeping on my chest or anything, but I can't let him on my face. I'd like to let him sleep anywhere he wants, but like I said, I can't let him do that, I'll never get any sleep, and if I don't, with my line of work, it'll only be a bad thing.
Why does he do this? Anybody know?
